About Misti
As a child, Misti found refuge in creativity — a musician at ten, an artist, a writer, an actor, a performer, a curious nerd who saw the world from angles most people never noticed. When the world felt sharp or unwelcoming, creativity became sanctuary. When belonging felt out of reach, imagination became home.

Like many who grow up feeling a bit outside the lines, Misti learned early on to build her own world. She stopped trying to fit and started embracing the shape she already was. She realized that her “outsider” perspective wasn’t a flaw; it was a doorway. Creativity wasn’t just my escape — it was her purpose. And whimsy wasn’t frivolous — it was essential.

Dance deepened that understanding even further. Through social and partner dancing, Misti discovered a kind of communication that doesn’t rely on words at all — a conversation carried through breath, rhythm, weight shifts, and subtle cues. In those moments, two people can meet each other with honesty and presence, without needing to explain themselves. It’s a space where you learn about yourself while connecting with someone else, where trust is built one step at a time, and where the body speaks truths the mind sometimes can’t articulate.

That nonverbal connection — that shared pulse of creativity and humanity — became a cornerstone of her work. It taught her that community isn’t just something we talk about, it’s something we feel, co‑create, and move through together.

And that spark is what gave birth to Misti Morning's.
Misti Morning's is located at the Sampson Center for the Arts. The Sampson Center is a five-bedroom guest house, exhibition space, and 20-seat recital hall dedicated to preserving the intimacy and romance of the Victorian Salons of the 19th century - for both musicians and visual artists.

This space is the physical manifestation of a lifelong dream: a creative playhouse, a sanctuary for misfits, makers, dancers, dreamers, and anyone craving a little more color in their life. It is intentionally inclusive, welcoming, and non‑judgmental — a place where every person, regardless of background or identity, can show up as themselves and feel embraced.

Here, you can learn, move, collaborate, explore, and rediscover the joy of expression. It’s a space where creativity is shared, where connection is felt, and where whimsy is not only allowed but encouraged.
